Ubertrout or Look Ma No Steroids
Scientists at the University of Rhode Island have created transgenic trout containing the myostatin mutation that causes increased muscle growth in cattle and mice. Their fish are heavily muscled, eat the same amount of food as normal trout, and behave like normal trout. In other words, more meat produced for the same costs. Now, they have to get their fish approved. Since scientists know it works, others will probably be trying to create transgenic cod, salmon, and tuna.
