Contradictions

"If the King James Version of the Bible was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me!"

"I will never read this book because it goes against the worldview I've been taught, (but how do I know this fact if I've never read the book)."

"Insert religion here is a false religion (although I've never been exposed to any teachings of said religion, so I can't make an informed, objective opinion)."

"I am a security expert, yet I never question the underlying assumptions or authority of any institution or person of significant authority."

"I am a human being who will live and eventually die just like everyone else. I make others right or wrong depending upon my own beliefs and assumptions (when it would be wiser to just let them be). I wish to make the World a better place, (but how can I do that when I don't know which choice is right or the greater Good)."
Comments:
What is right action? Is there such a thing as right action? What about non-action?
Well, if you are not sure what to do, don't act. Just observe without judgement? Who said you must act or react all the time.
No action, no reaction. Newton's third law.

What is conscience? Is it the same thing as the ten commandments? Or is it "don't do unto others what you don't want others do unto you". Or as Confucius puts it "do unto others what you want others do unto you".
What about free will? Is there such a thing as free will?

People do that all the time; not wanting to explore, or furthermore, to embrace, the dark corners.

I'm sorry I got Jesus and Confucius mixed up. It should be the other way around. Confucius stated it in the negative way while Jesus in the positive way. There seems to be a big or slight difference. I prefer the Confucian way. Many people don't like to be bothered with spiritual things. So I better leave them alone. Anyway, golden or not, this is called the ethic of reciprocity. This is probably the same thing as "love thy neighbor as thyself". Not very easy I know. This is only possible when you think of your neighbor as yourself. But as long as you have your own images of yourself, you won't be able to do this.

No need to apologize. And if one makes a mistake with a neighbor, then one will find out. It's called dialog. When people don't talk or otherwise communicate, bad things tend to happen.

Jesus way of thinking seems to be a bit aggressive or active. Do unto others as you want others do unto you. There is an element of wanting to make people do as you want them do to you. There could be a desire to influence or manipulate people in this way. This seems to be the Buddhist way too. Some enlightened people think there should be complete passivity in these matters. We don't really know if we are right. At least we should avoid manipulation or exploitation the way many religious and spiritual people do.

So that means you'll watch "fight club", right?
