Listen to the Stillness

Sixty-six times have these eyes
Beheld the changing scene of autumn.
I have said enough about moonlight,
Ask no more.
Only listen to the voice
Of pines and cedars when no wind stirs.
Ryonen (1797–1863)
Comments:
I don't know what kind they are, but there's a couple of trees like that outside the convenience store next to my place of work. Of course, it could be that it's 'just me.' ;-)

Ryonen,
Don't be too romantic or poetic.
It's not about the voice of pines and cedars. It's about trees.
