Robes of Stillness

To shake off the dust of human ambition
I sit on moss in Zen robes of stillness,
While through the window,
In the setting sun of late autumn,
Falling leaves whirl and drop to the stone dais.
Tesshu Tokusai (d.1366)
Comments:
Quotes are the unenlightened's wisdom.

They are signposts or pointers to Truth. True, they can be crutches, also. Depends on the person.

Try to think for yourself. Don't memorize a poem. Write them.
