A Hole in a Flute....

"I am a hole in a flute that the Christ's breath moves through, listen to this music."
Hafiz

While meditating, the name of a friend I knew a few year's ago at SMU popped into my head. I decided to follow up. I gave her a call. She is divorced from another SMU colleague and is putting her life back together. I wish to give her a few CDs that may help her, but ultimately, she is the only person who can "fix" herself. She had to cut off the phone call abruptly and hasn't called me back yet. I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised if nothing happens here. Perhaps it's another lesson to not take anything personally, since most interactions between people involve their minds and the roles their minds have them play. Guess we'll see. I seem to just be a hole in the flute of "God". I am glad to be useful for a change.

Don't be too personal. It's just a hole to fix.

We never really know what will come of an action. Sometimes we plant the seed, tend the crops and reap the harvest. Sometimes we only plant the seed.

"Let me light my lamp," said the star, "and never consider whether it will remove the darkness." Rabindranath Tagore

I've been following Oprah's talks with Eckart Tolle and was so moved by the quote from Hafiz. I had to look it up and found your site. Equally moved by the Rabindranath Tagore and the Maya Angelou quote. I agree. Sow a seed - sometimes that is the thing that someone needs most, just that one seed and trust...just trust, in the unconscious, in awareness, in God (if you believe in Him), just trust. Teresa

I don't know your site and can't endorse it's method.

Why do you ask such a question? The only thing I can say is that something perceives itself when it looks in the mirror or a natural mirror such as a pool of water. If that is so, then the observer and the observation is not "false". How the observer interprets the perception is where problems arise.

Stumbled upon your blog when looking for the Hafiz quote- and I see that you are a neighbor!

I look forward to exploring more of your site.
